01Check D-visa need and choose the education branch
What to do
Check the regime for your passport and intended duration. Education D differs from tourist C. Choose schooling, university studies, language study for further education or exchange; their evidence differs.

02Request the education institution's package
What to do
Request enrolment confirmation with start date/duration and institution registration evidence. Prepare the previous educational certificate with a certified translation. For exchange, obtain programme and organiser evidence under its separate checklist.

03Complete the visa form, not a residence application
What to do
Select education in eVisa and attach the file. Check passport details, photo and invitation; pay as instructed and keep the reference. For in-person filing, use the consular form. Each applicant, including a child, needs a separate application.

04Register arrival and arrange education residence after issue
What to do
Check visa dates and ground before travel. Register your address after entry; if study outlasts the visa, apply for residence on the same educational ground while stay is lawful. Enrolment and immigration permission are separate.

Translation and filing
Translation and certification
Before translating a foreign-issued record, ask the receiving institution whether it needs a Serbian translation by a court-certified translator (sudski tumač), whether an apostille/legalization is required, and in which order. Requirements differ by country and document. An ordinary or automatic translation is not a certified translation when certification is required.
